Baka Deco Silver Trio Earring

Our Deco collection is inspired by the Art Deco era. We tried to capture the bold, free spirit of the Art Deco by creating pieces that can be easily thrown on, and layered whimsically. We drew on archetypical Deco elements, such as arches and monolithic solids. Above all, we drew inspiration from Art Deco’s search for new ‘restore points’ in the past with the aim of creating a better future. Towards this, we channeled all the ‘big’ cultures that underpinned how Art Deco crystallized—including Egypt and Mesopotamia. Like the glorious Art Deco movement, our collection advocates embracing different cultures, without appropriating them. Baka is India's first holistically sustainable jewelry label. We go beyond looking only at eco-friendliness to looking holistically at the many other aspects of sustainability, including the social, the cultural, and the economic. We believe sustainability can be mainstreamed into fashion through good design, and that is exactly what we intend to deliver to you. Each of our slow-designed pieces is meticulously crafted by hand using sustainable materials.
