Pichwai Art holds its origin over 400 years ago in the temple town of Nathdwara near Udaipur, Rajasthan. The artwork is named so because these paintings are hung behind (piche) the temple deity and are done on “wai” which means a textile hanging.
The product falls under our Salvage range, which encourages no chopping of living mature trees for wood. The Salvage range by Scrapshala will never fail to speak of your conscious style statement and concern for the environment. All the products of the Salvage range are upcycled from reclaimed wood and handcrafted by the local artisans of Varanasi.
