How It's Made

Due to modernization and lack of patronage, many Indian handicrafts are on the verge of extinction and are rapidly getting replaced by artificial, cheap, and imitation products. At EkiBeki, our vision is to revive the folk arts and crafts of India and help generate sustainable livelihoods for artisans with a special focus on rural women and youth. Through design interventions, capacity building, market development, and the creation of self-governing mechanisms, we aim to help the artisans grow the community craft clusters in their natural habitat.
