Christmas is a feeling and along with a slight nip in the air, just about everything seems different around this Festival of Lights and Cheer! December being the last month of the year is anyways considered the month of HOPE, hope of finishing what was started this year, hope of meeting friends and family that we couldn't throughout the year, hope of starting the next year on a positive note and also the hope of ending the year on a high!

This time of the year is particularly special because it brings together families, travel plans are made, gifts are bought and togetherness is generally in the air. What makes it even more cherished is the idea of giving back that's strongly associated with Christmas. The idea is to enable JOY, within as well as in our communities and circles.

Planning a festive lunch or dinner becomes effortless with these tips and tricks that are more about reusing what's available at home, keeping the decor minimal and as fuss free as possible yet extremely chic. Mats and Runners sourced from a Kolkata based NGO, Dakshin Prakash makes this setting stand out due to its vibrant colours and the handmade nature of products.

The addition of a vase that can also be used as a jug with flowers foraged from the garden adds a mystic touch to the table and just the required pop!

Who isn't a fan of fragrances, light up one or many soy wax candles from Myoho Home, they are infused with essential oils and the aroma is absolutely going to make your friends and family fall in love with the ambience.

Reuse some ceramic jars like the one used here from Courtyard as decor and fill them top with foraged flowers, they made great centrepieces for the dining table and add that required bit of rustic charm.

And finally just take out some of your Diwali decor and reuse it to add just the right amount of glam to the colourful decor, the golds add just the right touch and they bring all the pieces together.

Be playful with the Christmas settings this year and don't forget to reuse and maybe also recreate some ornaments from things lying at home!
